With the ever increasing threat of bush fire as we move further away from the normal urban block fire retardant timbers and new government/council regulations are something we had better get used to. North Eden Timber has for a number of years now specialised in the supply and production of timber to meet all categories.

If you are building in a fire zone and want to use timber then you really need to talk to our staff.
The staff of North Eden Timber are very aware of the need to use the correct timber for the correct application.
There is no sense using a species just because it is fire retardant if it is not suitable for the application for which it is to be used.

CHECK FIRST because so many engineers will specify a timber on its ability to meet the structural requirements of the job with scant regard for the actual durability of the timber to be used.

It’s not difficult but to be fair most people will require guidance or they could end up with a fire retardant timber that instead of burning actually rots before there is a fire. Your timber must be durable enough for the purpose in which it has been used.
