Unseasoned timber is still ok

You often hear of home owner's disappointment when they use green (unseasoned) hardwood as bearers & joists or structural timbers only to have the timber shrink causing deck or floor boards to move or squeak. The obvious answer to this is to use kiln dried hardwoods but sometimes that is an option people cannot afford.

Fear not, at North Eden Timber we can help you working out your quantities, sourcing the unseasoned hardwood the stripping it out to dry. All you have to do is to plan ahead.

As soon as you have your plans is the best time to see us as this will allow plenty of time before you get to that stage of building for your timber to fully or partially season. We will even size the timber by dressing it just prior to delivery to save you the headache of doing so with a hand planer.
